Anniversaries and sister giggles

I feel so incredibly blessed right now. Tyler and I were able to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary yesterday. Thanks to my thoughtful dad who watched the girls, we were able to go out to dinner together before I had to go to school. I feel like our anniversary is not just a celebration of our wedding, it is a celebration that we are sealed together for all eternity. Which also means that we are sealed to our girls for all eternity. I felt like I was celebrating all day long, just by being with my girls and enjoying them. I am so grateful to know that families are forever.
Even though Tyler and I didn't get a ton of time together it still was a great day...except for the fact that I think I got food poisoning, and was up ALL night which was awful! But I'm feeling semi-better today.

Adalyn and Kora are becoming the greatest friends. As soon as they see each other in the morning, they both have these huge grins and giggles! All day long they sit together, play together, roll around together (even though Kora is a little too small for that still and it is Adalyn's favorite thing to do when Mommy is not looking). Kora always comes up with a smile. She loves her big sister and Adalyn loves that she is able to do more to help with "her baby Kora".

 It seems like this Summer will not end! Don't get me wrong, I like the summer, just not when it lasts 6 months! It finally cooled off enough tonight so that we could go for a walk. It was so nice to get some fresh air and I could try to walk off some of the icky from last night. They both got some energy out it made it for an easy bedtime. (hence me actually having time I have to blog).

 She thinks its funny to "shake her bummies" at me when I take her picture.

 But we still got a good one. :)

Adalyn is 2.5

Today is Adalyn's half birthday! I know it's kind of cheesy to do a post about it, but I just can't believe how quickly my girl is growing up. In 6 more months she will be 3! Wow. She is definitely a handful, but so much fun too. I'm so lucky to be her mom. I thought this would be a great time to post some pics of Adalyn around the same age Kora is now.

Beach Day!

Today we were lucky enough to be able to spend some time at Mission Bay with family! The Moss', Schiess', and my mom and dad. Adalyn loved playing in the sand and water, and Kora loved Grandma cuddles. Kora was having a rough day so my mom  held her and watched the rest of  us from the car to protect her from the sun and wind.What a great Grandma.

 Adalyn took her first ride in a canoe with her cousin Mikayla. She did so well! We wished we could have stayed longer!

To parents of toddler aged kids....So it is 9:45 at night and Adalyn is not asleep. I started her bedtime routine at 7:30. I tucked her in by 8:30. Then she has every reason she can think of to get out of bed. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get her to stay in bed, or get to bed earlier?..

Our Sweet Baby Kora

Kora Jean Munyer has arrived!

She was born on March 7, 2012 at 9:23 a.m. She weighed 6lbs. 3 oz and was 19.5 inches long. We are so thrilled to have her here with us. Adalyn is loving being a big sister. It is probably my favorite part of being a mom of two; seeing the relationship that they are creating. Adalyn loves to take care of Kora and make her smile. She gets concerned when Kora is crying or upset, and always tells me what she thinks that she needs. "She's hungry, She needs more mommy's milk" or "She's really, really tired" or "AWW man, where's her binky?" 

Kora is 3 months old today and getting a lot of personality! She loves to smile now, especially at her sister and daddy.  I think she just gets enough of her mom all day, so her sister and dad are a happy change. :)  She is starting to look even more like her sister now. We love it! I can't get enough of those sweet faces.

There is not much that Adalyn talks about more than Birthday parties. She loves everything about them. So when we decided it was time to get rid of the binky, we knew we should bribe her with her very own party! So we told her that after she went a week with no binky, she would get a party!  She was so happy when Daddy brought home these balloons and a special cupcake for her! We are so proud of this (not so little anymore) girl!

Its time to blog!

I think its about time to update the blog :) There are too many amazing things going on in my life to not share them. First of all, we are expecting another baby girl and couldn't be more thrilled. She is due on March 21 which is only about 3 weeks away! Its amazing how time is flying! Adalyn is very excited to have a baby sister. She keeps asking when Kora is going to be born, because she wants to play with her. :) I don't think she actually knows what we are in for having a newborn, but I'm sure that she will love her all the same. Adalyn is so much fun these days. She has the best little personality and can just entertain us all day. We went to a wedding reception this weekend and couldn't believve how crazy she was on the dance floor. It was hilarious! She was watching some boys break dance and came up with her own signature move. Then at one point, she ran into the middle of the circle that had formed and did her own little break dance. People were cheering for her and rooting her on! And she is only two! I was proud of our little dancer.

This is her riding her bike for the first time at our house. Thanks to Grandma Julie and Jitto for snatching that up for her. She loves it! I can't believe how big she is! I'm pretty sure it doesn't get much cuter than that.

We got Disneyland passes in December for Adalyn's birthday and we have definitely taken advantage of it. Adalyn loves everything Disney and Daddy has a blast spoiling his girl!
